Easter Egg Hunt

On Saturday April 4th, the Children's Hour Academy held its annual Easter Egg Hunt. This year the Hunt was held at the Meridian Campus. What a great way to celebrate this campus being open for just over a year. At eleven o' clock we all gathered in the cafeteria waiting for the Hunt to begin. There was definitely excitement in the air! Once all of the eggs were in place, we started to find them. The students from the Jean Road campus were first, and they found their eggs covering the gym floor. The Pre-School through Preparatory Kindergarten classes found their eggs on the playground, and the Kindergarten through 6th grade friends found their eggs out on the grass behind Ms. Patty's room. It was amazing to see how fast everyone filled their baskets with colorful, fun-filled eggs!

This year we added some extra special eggs for the kids to find. Each classroom decorated one of these extra special eggs. We all came up with a variety of creative ways to decorate our classroom egg. There were painted eggs, eggs colored with markers, and eggs decorated with collage materials. One egg was painted gold and covered with googly eyes, while another looked just like Spiderman, still another had a trunk like an elephant! We all did our best to make our classroom egg stand out from the rest! If a child found a special egg, they took it to Ms. Michelle for a prize of five dollars. Congratulations to all of our Special Egg Winners!

After finding all of the eggs, we gathered back together for coffee, doughnuts, and juice. This was a great time for family, friends, and fellowship. I love the way that these types of events bring us all closer together! It is such a great way to visit with each other, reconnect, or even build new friendships. Thank you for coming and we hope to see you all again next year! We hope that you and your family had a happy Easter!
